Why Donate?
How will your donation help?
Due to recent complications, Valarie has been unable to work since December 14, 2018. She is also approaching her weight loss goals, which will make her eligible for the transplant waiting list t.
General Transplant Costs
Transplant evaluation (including medical tests and procedures)
Transplant surgery and hospitalization
Follow-up care including tests, physician visits, and rehabilitation
Immunosuppressants and other medications (pre- and post-transplant)
Depending on health insurance coverage, these costs may be covered in full or in part by an insurance plan. Patients are advised to take the time to investigate their insurance benefits and be aware of their co-payment responsibilities, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and coverage limits.
In addition to medical costs, there are other potential cost areas to consider, including child care, insurance premiums, lost wages, lodging, and meals for patients and caregivers.
All donations will be used to help continue her care, and also help her receive her transplant.
