Shirley's Legacy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Shirley Ann Hartage Trice, who departed this life on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Georgia. She resided at 1007 Border Street in Americus, where her warmth and kindness touched everyone around her.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of Union Tabernacle Baptist Church in Americus. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Staley Memorial Garden.

Shirley leaves behind a profound legacy of love, service, and honor. Her greatest endeavor was the remarkable journey to see her oldest daughter, Valarie, successfully receive a kidney transplant. In recognition of this heartfelt mission, her daughters request that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Vtrice Kidney Fund to continue Shirley’s legacy of hope and support.

Ways To Donate

Each of these accounts has been established for the VTrice Kidney Fund. All contributions will be utilized to fulfill Shirley's wish for her firstborn, Valarie Trice, to receive a kidney.
